Thank you Better Days for letting us help find a home for Homer on your site.

HOMER came in from the "cold life of a lost dog"and is thrilled. He has been fed, spiffed up from head to toe, vaccinated, neutered, and wormed. He loves the pampering, his warm dog bed, two great meals a day and being in a home. He spends as much time as he can sitting on our laps. He has a gentle soul that our cats recognized right away. They usually stay clear when a new foster dog moves in. But it was business as usual with the Cats when Homer arrived. He immediately made friends with our five other dogs.  For this reason, we feel he would do great as a friend to your dog or possibly in a house with more than 1 dog. We thinks he would be happiest if there was at least one other dog in the house. Homer isn't much of a barker but be warned, he occasionally snores.

Homer is a cute little Beagle weighing 25 pounds. Yes, he is full grown. He is about 4 years old. We were thrilled to learn he is heartworm negative. He likes to fly through the snow and explore. Beagles like to follow any scents they find and Homer is no exception. We want Homer to have a fenced yard so he will never get lost again. It must be 100% secure with no access to dig underneath. We have learned he can do this in a blink of an eye. He is good with children but we haven't seen him with anyone under age 9. He is a friendly, sociable dog and likes men as well as women.

Want to meet Homer? Please fill out an application first. It will not obligate you but will give us an idea if you look like a good fit for him. Please understand that we want the best home possible for Homer and all of our fosters, many of whom have just experienced neglect and cruelty. All applicants we will be considering will have a reference check as well as a vet reference check and a home visit. Thank you for considering Homer.

Last but not least, Homer...

HOMER LOVES THE SNOW!
