Fostering: As a foster you would care for and socialize your foster dog. All medical expenses paid by rescue!! All we expect from you is to supply food and a warm loving home. Whenever available we will supply what we can. Food supply is limited at the moment! Please feel free to email rescueME@betterdaysarecoming for more information!!!

Transporting: We need help with getting dogs from all areas of the United States: Our biggest need is getting them from Syracuse to Rochester! From there we bring them to Buffalo. Each city is considered a leg. We use many different volunteers to get the dogs to us in Buffalo. We also can use help getting them from our vet, or dropped off at times!!! If you don’t mind doing a few miles every once in a while please consider transporting.

Fundraising: Better Days is always in need of help with this area!! All our funds are from adoption fees and donations, a lot of the dogs are in need of medical care in one form or other and the adoption fee does not always cover what it cost to care for them!! We can help more dogs if the funds allow!

Events - It's great to have our dogs noticed and also to get the word out that we are MAKING Better Days!! We need volunteers to set up a table and bring spend time with a foster dog or to at Pet Supplies Plus, Pet Co, and Honey Hill Pet Store at the Eastern Hills mall! This also includes all other rescue events!!! We have everything you need to set up! Dogs, Fliers and signs! Including an adoption book for all the other dogs that could not make it that day!!! Help get the word out!!! Bring sunny days to very deserving dogs!!!

Adoption Center: Our adoption center needs volunteers to help sit and care for the dogs while they are there to visit and meet and greet anyone who might like to adopt them!! Weekends are our busiest time!! If you would like to help out with walking dogs or just sitting with them while they are at the center! Also answering questions a potential adopter may have we can use your help!!! Feel free to bring a book or your lap top in case we happen to have a slow day!!! It can give you some relax time as well!!!

Home visits: We need help making sure every potential adoptive home is a safe and loving environment for our dogs!! We need volunteers to stop by a potential adopters home when family is present and sit and talk with them. We have a guideline you can follow so you know just what to ask. Also check to make sure the yard is safe and set up for any of our dog’s fence, no fence? Tie out or leash walk? Home extremely cluttered or just normal lived in!! Just for a few examples!! Do the adopters seem to understand that all rescue dogs might need patience and time to settle in. If you think you have what it takes to help us screen a bright future for our dogs we can use your help!!!
